How do band names work?
Iron Maiden is iron + maiden. That is the compound in one line: two strong words welded into one image. The article form hangs a modifier off The. The misspelling takes a real word and bends the spelling so it reads new. Three grammars, decades of receipts. What is a good band name?

How do band names differ across patterns?
The three grammars do different jobs. The compound wants one image. The article form wants a membership feeling, like a club you are hearing about. The misspelling wants you to notice the spelling and remember it. Pick the job first, then pick the right name from that pattern:

Bands have always borrowed titles from films, songs, and books, then bent them. The generator skips the borrowing step and builds the same shapes from scratch.
Band names vs DJ names
Bands name a group; DJs name a person. A band name can hold several images at once because several people stand under it. A DJ name is one pair of hands, so it runs shorter: a prefix and a strong word. Neighbors, not rivals:

The umlaut is the heavy-metal accent mark. It changes nothing and signals everything.

Is the generator accurate to real band naming?
Yes, at the pattern level. The three engines copy the moves real bands used: the compound (Iron Maiden), the article form (The Rolling Stones), and the deliberate misspelling (Led Zeppelin). The combinations are original. Real bands appear only as pattern receipts, never as output.
Can I generate band names in bulk?
